I'd like some proof that this actually works. This only tells programs that you're using DX10 but you're still actually using DX9. Stormrise does not contain a DX9 renderer, so a program like this shouldn't work with Stormrise since there's no DX10 in your system for it to respond to. JandauX 12 years ago 7. The question is does Stormrise actually have any DXonly features or is it in the same category as the PC version of Halo 2.
In fact, it was quite possible to install it on a XP machine and it would work flawlessly with a few modified files having played it on the XP I would know. If that's the case, fooling the game into thinking it's on a DX10 machine would suffice. Also, it's likely we'll see a user-made "patch" soon enough that will enable the game to work under DX9 conditions.
