Bloodrayne vista

What went wrong here? The first "Bloodrayne" movie was actually quite good. Then part 2 came out, and it was a notch down the ladder. Now this "Bloodrayne: The Third Reich" is out, and it is about to hit rock bottom! The story in the movie is actually good enough, most parts of it anyway. There were certain aspects of the movie that was just too corny and too unnecessary. Alright, well lets delve into the acting.

For most parts the acting was good enough, but then in the opposite end there was so really horrendous acting as well. Clint Howard playing doctor Mangler , words doesn't even begin to describe his performance. It was like watching a leech trying to scale a wall, it was dull and uninspiring. The lead role of Rayne, was played by Natassia Malthe. Her acting was adequate, but come on, we all know why she was hired for this.

She is hot and kicks ass, and that pretty much sums it up. Set in the period of the 's, during World War II, you are wondering why the Germans in the movie are all speaking English. I hate that in movies, get into character and have the Germans speak German. It just works on a grander scale. Having them speak semi-broken English with a flatulent accent, not so much. That really brought the movie down a notch for me. Something else that brought down the movie, was Rayne's costume. Now, sure it was stunningly hot and sexy.

But this is the 's, no one wore that kind of outfit back then, vampire or human! That was just over the top, and it really brought the movie down. It was out of place and time! Don't just have a costume in a movie because it looks hot, it is just too lame!

As for the German's costume, well hats off for that, lots of nice touches and details there. So that worked well enough. Another thing that shouldn't have made it to the movie was the lesbian love scene. Come on! Most people don't want to watch that! It was too much! And again, this was the 's, I am pretty sure people weren't open-minded as people are today.

Again, it just seemed out of place and almost turned the movie into a soft-core porn. That was just too much! One thing that did work for the movie, however, was the sets and the details put into the sets.

It was like I would believe the 40's Germany would be like, and the emotional state that the country had would be like. She and her partner, Severin, were assigned to investigate and put an end to the Cult of Kagan. After finding a list showing a twisted family tree and Kagan hierarchy, she kills Zerenski and flees from his exploding mansion.

The two discuss further at a bar and make connections between the slaughter at the mansion and disappearance of virtually all homeless, junkies and hookers from the streets. Racing against time, Rayne soon enough discovers their plan: to cover the city skies with a blood-red cloud called the Shroud that will fully block the rays of the sun to allow vampires to walk around freely during the day. Fearing the possible outcome of a vampire apocalypse, Rayne destroys a tower that produces the Shroud, but its too late.

There were other towers built around the city and she saw that Kagan was still alive as he gave the order to flood the sky with Shroud. During this time, Brimstone has gone silent and the city is in ruins by being overrun with vampires, so Rayne and Severin go on their own to reach Kagan's tower and kill her remaining evil step-siblings.

With her father dead, Rayne assumed control of the vampire kingdom Kagan made and the Sun Gun until the city and other areas affected are purged of all vampiric evil, giving herself the title of "Empress". But the threat doesn't end there. During the fight, Kagan mentioned there being others like him all over the Earth that rule their own respective kingdoms, and will want to come and claim his kingdom for themselves.

Severin suggests assembling a larger team to eliminate the vampires running loose in the city. Brimstone had made preparations if there was ever going to be a vampire apocalypse. They took their operations underground and to gather as many survivors as they can. But it's likely they've drawn definite lines and will kill anything even vaguely vampiric, possibly including Rayne and Severin, leaving their current relationship with the organization unknown.

Ending with Rayne saying: "These next few years are going to be very interesting". Springfield M This gun was scrapped from the game, but is shown in the game manual and strategy guide. The Carpathian Dragons : Found in the second game at the beginning in Zerenski's mansion on Halloween night, Rayne wields these twin pistols of legend that alchemically process blood in order to make solid projectiles that are lethal to vampires as well as non-vampires.

These pistols have an 18th-century design—resembling flintlocks—with silver frames adorned in tribal-like markings. They gain their ammunition by draining blood through large hypodermic needles under the muzzles from Rayne's victims and storing it in their reservoirs; or when empty, drawing it directly from Rayne herself but never entirely as they will cease functioning when Rayne is critically low on health.

They can only be used by dhampirs, though it is not explained how or why, and have six firing modes. Each mode has two upgrade levels to increase the maximum ammunition count and other improvements. As a dhampir , Rayne is born with many of the supernatural abilities of a vampire and other traits. She doesn't seem to have a hyper-predatory thirst of blood to keep her body in peak condition or from shutting down, instead she seems to casually enjoy feeding off blood of her own free will. Rayne is extremely powerful and equally as dangerous.

Her upbringing, training, and raging desire for vengeance has honed all of her physical and supernatural abilities, making her Brimstone's best and deadliest agent. In the second game, her Blood Rage attacks have double damage, can't be knocked over by enemies, can't be stunned, and is invulnerable but cannot block.

Dismemberment is much easier to achieve in this state. However, her Rage depletes as she gets hit instead of losing health, acting as a second health bar. Once depleted, she returns to her normal state. Rayne only has two significant weaknesses. While she can sustain damage by other means, these are a direct result of her hybrid nature.
